My name is Rebecca, I come from northern Italy and I'm attending my last year of high school (almost 19 yrs old). I've been studying foreign languages for 5 years: English, Spanish and German, in which I am fluent (except german, with which I have some more difficulties, reason why I want to improve it by coming to Germany).
I am a lonely child and my family is not that big in general. Me and my parents are really simple people living in a cozy terraced house in a pretty small town quite near Milan.
I am a quiet but friendly girl, I love being part of the host family and talking freely with all the members of it. I enjoy getting close to new cultures and sharing mine, as well as confronting ideas about every kind of topic. I love outdoor activities, as sitting in a park or just walking around finding new places, but also staying at home watching a movie sometimes. I like meeting friends but I prefer quiet places in which is possible to have a good conversation and knowing the other person better. What I love doing the most is travelling, I think I could spend all my time and money doing it.
So, I decided to take a gap year before applying for university both to improve my language skills and to make a new and unique experience. I chose Germany, and Munich, in particular as my destination because I am looking forward to move there definitively to apply at university, but first I need to get used to a new kind of life and I must improve my german. Also I fell in love with the city and the lifestyle I could have there, unlike how I feel in my town.
My plan for the fututre is to study at university, probably in a Design faculty. As almost everyone I hope to find my dream job, having an healthy life and a family to which I can give all my love and affection.
I have never had experiences as AuPair or babysitter, but I really really love being with children, taking care of them and playing with them.
I already experienced living with an hostfamily and I always found myself really well.
