My name is Isabele, I'm 21 years old and I'm brazilian.
I am an easy going and open-minded person. I love learning about different cultures and languages. My hobbies include writing, researching music, going out with my friends and going to the gym.
I've lived in Sweden, France, Brazil and Switzerland. During the past months I have travelled more and am almost on my way to knowing 20 countries (proud of that :)).
I lived in France for 1 year working as an Au Pair. I was able to study and improve my French through FLE (Français Langue Etrangère) course at Universtité de Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse. During this exchange period, I lived with a british family and was able to experience several cultural and linguistic diversities. They had 2 kids - boy and girl - aged 9 and 11. The schedule included light housework, driving the kids to their activities to nearby villages (I had a car to myself), watching the kids and helping them with homework and sometimes cooking.
I am currently au pairing in Basel, I have been studying german for the past 6 months and there is still 6 months to go for working/studying. I look after one girl aged 7 and the responsabilites/schedule are quite similar to the previous one in France. I also babysit ocasionally for another family with 3 kids aged 2, 7 and 11.
Back in Brazil I was an English teacher at a Montessori school, working with kids from 1-6 years.
I voluntereed for 2 years for a non-profit organization called Hospitalhaços, where we dressed up as clowns to cheer up hospital patients.
I am currently volunteering at the immigration asylum in Basel - playing with kids a couple of hours per week.
These experiences increased my habilities to work with kids. I am very patient, responsible and love to learn new things from/with them.
I love to travel and learn new things.
The past 1.5 years gave me the opportunity to explore the world and myself in ways I wouldn't have imagined.
My future goals include applying for a swiss or german university but there is still half-way to go - I need to have B1-B2 german level for that. I already speak basic german and can understand a lot, but there is still more to learn and I am sure that includes continuing my studies and that living within a german speaking environment will help me achieve my goals.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
